The cooling tower is exposed to outdoor environments for a long time, and the strong adsorption force of its fans causes a large amount of sediment and dirt to be sucked into the tower. Over time, these impurities will gradually reduce the heat dissipation efficiency of the cooling tower, leading to blockage of the water outlet of the water distributor, making it easier for sediment and dirt to invade the cooling water system, seriously affecting the normal refrigeration function of the system. Therefore, regular cleaning of the cooling tower is crucial.

Plan 1: Shutdown Cleaning This plan includes four stages: sterilization and algae removal cleaning, cleaning with descaling agents, pre film and post cleaning. The entire cleaning process requires shutdown and takes about 8 days, with a descaling rate of over 95%.


1.Water flushing: Conduct high flow flushing at a flow rate greater than 0.15m/s to effectively remove loose dirt such as dust, sediment, detached algae, and corrosive substances from the system, while checking for leaks in the system.


2.Sterilization and algae removal cleaning: Inject sterilization and algae removal agents to kill microorganisms in the system and promote the detachment of biological sludge on the surface of the equipment. Stop cleaning when the system turbidity stabilize


Cleaning solution descaling cleaning: Add cleaning agent to dissolve scale and oxide, and then discharge them with water. Clean through a circulating pump and empty at the highest point and discharge at the lowest point to prevent air resistance and clogging of the drainage system. Monitor the concentration of cleaning solution, metal ion concentration, temperature, pH value, etc. during the cleaning process, and end the cleaning when the metal ion concentration stabilizes.

4.Rinse after cleaning: Further rinse to remove residual cleaning solution and impurities after cleaning, continuously open the drain to remove sediment in the short tube. Continuously monitor the pH value and turbidity, and end rinsing when they stabilize.

 


5.Pre film: A complete and corrosion-resistant protective film is formed on the surface of the cleaned active metal or damaged protective film.

 


6.Cleaning after cleaning: deeply clean the evaporator of the cooler, use a dedicated pipe cleaner to clear and flush the cooler tube by tube, and if necessary, connect an open circulation system for separate cleaning and descaling; The evaporator should be thoroughly rinsed with high-pressure water to flush the internal sediment, and depending on the situation, the external circulation system should be considered for separate cleaning

 

Option 2: Non stop neutral cleaning This option can be carried out under normal operating conditions of the unit, with a cleaning cycle of about 30 days. After the cleaning is completed, maintenance agents are added, and the entire process does not affect the operation of the unit.

 


Neutral cleaning agent characteristics:

 


1.Non corrosive: After adding to the central air conditioning water system, the pH value of the water does not change, and it does not corrode metals, completely solving the corrosion risk caused by traditional strong acidic cleaning agents and achieving non corrosive cleaning.

 


2.Efficient cleaning: It has a significant cleaning effect on various types of scale, insoluble sulfates, and algae biological sludge, with a scale removal rate of over 95%, restoring equipment performance, and maintaining clean operation of the equipment.

 


3.Easy to operate: Simply add neutral cleaning agent to the normally running central air conditioning system, and after about 30 days of operation, discharge it to completely remove all kinds of scale in the water system.


Neutral cleaning principle: Based on the theory of coordination field chemistry, the d-orbitals of metal ions undergo energy level splitting under the action of specific coordination compound electrostatic fields. When the ligand provides lone pair electrons to form an O bond with the metal element, and the ligand has empty π molecular orbitals or empty p, d molecular orbitals with appropriate symmetry, lone pair electrons on the metal d orbital can form feedback π bonds with the ligand, generating stable coordination compounds. Selection can trigger Ca ² +, Mg ² Compounds with π - molecular orbitals and energy level splitting as π - acceptor ligands, when interacting with calcium and magnesium scale, destroy the structure of the scale molecules, making them soluble in water and discharged through sewage.


After maintenance and cleaning, apply chemical maintenance to the cooling water and refrigerant water systems. The refrigerant water system is equipped with corrosion and scale inhibitors, which form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc to prevent corrosion caused by oxygen and metal ions. At the same time, they prevent the formation of scale salts through chelation, inhibition, and lattice distortion.
